MUSHROOM FORAGING COURSES 2025 - MORE DATES WILL BE RELEASED IN THE SPRING
Nick of Grown Up Mushrooms will take you to the woods and fields of West Dorset for a 2.5 - 3 hour walk, chat, pick and all around educational experience about all things fungal! We'll show you how to safely and responsibly forage, highlight the role of fungi in the surrounding ecology and provide tips and rules of identification. We'll even chuck in some mushroom tea and some folklore to boot. Nick is a Member of the Association of Foragers and practises within their ethos and guidelines. We're not about stripping the forest, as that's not what we're about, but we promise a wealth of knowledge, lungfuls of fresh air and a great time had by all. All particpants will go home with some mushrooms, however, and some mushrooms goodies.
Having grown up in West Dorset forager Nick follows in the footsteps of his forager Grandmother, and has built up a library of secret mushroom spots over the years. With inusrances, first aid and permissions, having worked with River Cottage, National Trust, the Psychedelic Society, Barings Bank and others, there's no better guide to show you the way.

Forage walks will last at least 2 and a half hours. Tickets are now reduced to £60 per person. Confirmation of booking will be sent upon payment (details sent in email). Gift vouchers can be redeemed on any of the dates above if not fully booked. To buy as a gift voucher, please email in. Private or corporate groups of up to ten are welcome, group discounts are considered.
Trousers, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear must be worn. Complete itinerary and details sent in lead up to event. Although GUM lead these events, your own safety is your own responsibility - NEVER put wild foods in your mouth without 100% positive identification. And watch your tootsies on the tree roots.
